• आर्टिकल 35A संविधान में शामिल प्रावधान है जो जम्मू और कश्मीर  (Jammu & Kashmir) विधानमंडल को यह अधिकार प्रदान करता है कि वह यह तय करे कि जम्मू और कश्मीर (Jammu & Kashmir) का स्थायी निवासी कौन है और किसे सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की नौकरियों में विशेष आरक्षण दिया जायेगा, किसे संपत्ति खरीदने का अधिकार होगा, किसे जम्मू और कश्मीर (Jammu & Kashmir) विधानसभा चुनाव में वोट डालने का अधिकार होगा, छात्रवृत्ति तथा अन्य सार्वजनिक सहायता और किसे सामाजिक कल्याण कार्यक्रमों का लाभ मिलेगा. आर्टिकल 35A में यह प्रावधान है कि यदि राज्य सरकार किसी कानून को अपने हिसाब से बदलती है तो उसे किसी भी कोर्ट में चुनौती नही दी जा सकती है.
• अनुच्छेद 35A, जम्मू-कश्मीर (Jammu-Kashmir)को राज्य के रूप में विशेष अधिकार देता है. इसके तहत दिए गए अधिकार 'स्थाई निवासियों' से जुड़े हुए हैं.  इसका मतलब है कि जम्मू-कश्मीर (Jammu-Kashmir) राज्य सरकार को ये अधिकार है कि वो आजादी के वक्त दूसरी जगहों से आए शरणार्थियों और अन्य भारतीय नागरिकों को जम्मू-कश्मीर (Jammu-Kashmir) में किस तरह की सहूलियतें दे अथवा नहीं दे.
• लोगों ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में दाखिल याचिका में शिकायत की थी कि आर्टिकल 35A के कारण संविधान प्रदत्त उनके मूल अधिकार जम्मू-कश्मीर (Jammu-Kashmir) राज्य में छीन लिए गए हैं, लिहाजा राष्ट्रपति के आदेश से लागू इस धारा को केंद्र सरकार फौरन रद्द करे.ENGLISH TRANSLATE:-
  
  

      What is "Article 35A"? IN ENGLISH

• "Article 35A" is a provision included in the constitution that empowers the (Jammu and Kashmir) Legislature to decide who is a permanent resident of (Jammu and Kashmir) and who is specialized in public sector jobs. Reservation will be given, who will have the right to buy property, who will have the right to vote in (Jammu and Kashmir) assembly elections, scholarship and other public support Power and who will benefit from social welfare programs. "Article 35A" provides that if the state government changes a law according to its own, then it cannot be challenged in any court.

• "Article 35A" gives special rights to (Jammu and Kashmir) as a state. The rights given under it are related to 'permanent residents'. This means that the State Government of (Jammu and Kashmir) has the right to grant or not provide any kind of facilities in (Jammu and Kashmir) to the refugees and other Indian citizens who came from other places during independence.

• People had complained in the petition filed in the Supreme Court that because of "Article 35A", their fundamental rights conferred by the Constitution have been taken away in the state of (Jammu and Kashmir), so the Central Government should immediately cancel this section applicable by order of the President.
